What will happen on the day of surgery?
Shortly after you check into the facility, you will meet your anesthesiologist. All questions will be answered, and an anesthetic plan will be created to fit your needs. Your anesthesiologist will remain with you throughout the entire procedure, and will be available throughout the recovery process.
What training is required for physician anesthesiologists?
After a four-year undergraduate education, aspiring physicians complete four years of medical school, after which anesthesiologists spend four years in residency training in the specialty of Anesthesiology.
What is the importance of board-certification?
Board certification denotes achievement of the highest standards for the specialty of anesthesiology. All of our physicians are board certified in Anesthesiology and many are also certified in the subspecialty of Pediatric Anesthesia.
How is my Anesthesia bill determined?
You will receive a separate bill for your anesthesia services. The anesthesia charge is based on the type of procedure, the length of procedure, as well as the contracted rate with your health-insurance plan. Because of these variables, it is difficult to predict the exact charge ahead of time. However, we can often provide you a rough estimate of your charges if you reach out through the billing contact us page.
What if I am a self-pay patient?
All of our locations have a self-pay rate scale for anesthesia services. The fees will be collected up front along with the surgery fees.
